PALAVECINO HOUSE

Architect : Francisco Muñoz Hidalgo
Surface : 320M2
Location : La Dehesa, Santiago Chile.
My Rol : Own design project.
Palavecino House is located on a plot of 800M2. The order was a house of 300M2 aprox on two levels and style defined by mr and mrs Palavecino. Common areas in the first level and Suite in the second level will be located the most private rooms and living room.
One of the things that the client asked me, The stairway was a sculptural element, it has a sculptural character where the exterior and interior lights are combined generating a volumetry full of lights, shadows and textures that make shine the materials used. The use of brick and stone, generate a warmth that the owners were looking for as a reference of the neighborhood.
The double height unites the public with the private, giving a transition the box of scales. The separation of the entrance hall and living room, is done through a half-height semi-curved wall, which allows a transparency between both spaces. In addition to the separating wall, there is a gap that supports it in its function of separating the spaces. The sky of white color allows the natural reflections of the lights and acts as a diffuser in the night of the fixed lamps.
