PRIME MINISTER RESTAURANT

Architect : Francisco Muñoz Hidalgo
Surface : 256,15M2
Location : New York street, Santiago Chile
My Rol : Own Project. Design project, Project Leader
I developed this project together with the architect Mauricio Escalona, he invited me to develop it, at that time I was still at the university doing my final project to obtain my degree in architecture. I developed the general design of the restaurant and the design of the Bar furniture (it was approximately 16 to 18 meters long) the idea was to hide the staircase coming from the kitchen which is in the basement. The location located in the city of New York 19 in the commune of Santiago, this location had another restaurant but this one was closed because it was unhealthy. My design was completely different from the previous location. The owner wanted to compete with the best restaurants in downtown Santiago. The location was privileged since we were 200 meters from the Santiago Stock Exchange. The owner named him Prime Minister, implying that our client was Wiston Churchill himself. Our chef had a lot of experience since he was the Chef of the Hilton Hotel in the city of Chicago.
